Die große Offenbarung: Die Erfahrungen einer in Australien registrierten Musiktherapeutin mit Behinderung, ein künstlerisches Forschungsprojekt
Zusammenfassung
Behinderungen sind ein menschliches Phänomen, das nicht nur eine kleine Minderheit, sondern ein großer Prozentsatz unserer Weltbevölkerung erlebt. Menschen aller Ethnien, Religionen, Geschlechter (und geschlechts-nonkonformistische), sexueller Orientierung, sozioökonomischen Hintergründe und Altersgruppen sind mit Behinderungen konfrontiert. In der neueren musiktherapeutischen Literatur wird für eine vielfältige Zusammensetzung der Mitarbeiterschaft plädiert, und andere beschreiben den Wert einer intersektionalen Perspektive, die die Verflechtung sozialer und politischer Identitäten berücksichtigt. Es gibt jedoch nur einen begrenzten Dialog über gelebte Erfahrungen von MusiktherapeutInnen mit unterrepräsentierten Identitäten, wie z.B. Behinderungen. Mit dieser Forschung wurde versucht, die Erfahrungen von in Australien registrierten MusiktherapeutInnen, die eine Behinderung haben, zu erfassen und zu untersuchen, wie ihre Behinderung ihre Praxis beeinflussen oder beeinflussen kann. Es wurde ein australischer registrierter Musiktherapeut (RMT) befragt, der sich als behindert identifizierte. Die studentische Forscherin beschäftigte sich mit künstlerischer Forschung durch Komposition, um eine fundierte Analyse zu ermöglichen und die Ergebnisse in einem zugänglichen Format zu präsentieren. Es wurden mehrere Themen aufgedeckt, darunter versteckte Behinderung, Offenlegung von Behinderung, Zusammenschluss, positive Übertragung, Sichtbarkeit und Identität. Diese Ergebnisse zeigen die Bedeutung gelebter Erfahrungen in der Musiktherapiewelt und rufen dazu auf, die unterschiedlichen Stimmen von Menschen mit Behinderungen und anderen sich überschneidenden Identitäten in unserem Beruf zu stärken. Die Wertschätzung der Arbeit behinderter MusiktherapeutInnen kann die ablehnende Haltung der Gesellschaft weiter herausfordern und bietet den TeilnehmerInnen Optionen, die es vorziehen, mit TherapeutInnen zu arbeiten, die über relevante gelebte Erfahrungen verfügen.
