- Biography
Susanne Bauer, Ph.D., German psychologist and music therapist from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien (1980). Dr Bauer was originally a student of Alfred Schmölz and later of the group of morphologist music therapists including Rosemarie Tüpker, Frank Grootaers, Eckhard Weymann and Tilman Weber in Zwesten, Germany. She is co-ordinator of the music therapy postgraduate program, University of Chile, Faculty of Arts. Currently teaching at the Psychological Institute of the Universidad Católica de Chile in pre,- and postgraduate programs. Courses include Introduction to Music Therapy, Music Therapy Assessment and The Arts and Mental Health. Forms part of the psychotherapy staff working with victims of (ex) Colonia Dignidad, now Villa Baviera, a german sect in Chile. Two-year Family Therapy Training Course graduate.
