Professor Barbara Hesser, CMT, LCAT, FAMI is the Director of Music Therapy at New York University. She is also the Director of the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy at New York University, a treatment, training and research center. She has served the profession of music therapy as President of the American Association of Music Therapy and was one of the founders and officers of the World Federation of Music Therapy. She is certified in, and a primary trainer of, The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM).
