Congratulations and Comments

Dear members of the Voices forums,
First, let me congratulate you on 10 yrs of service to the music therapy community! I am constantly checking in, finding out what's new and exciting and look forward the challenging and diverse expressions of music therapy. I also admire the efforts that you had made, and are making, to represent various philosophies of practice and culturally specific articles.
With regards to the discussions, I would "second" the notion that more individuals would contribute responses.
Finally, I am excited to hear about your forthcoming section entitled, Resources. I'm interested to see how this will develop and what types of resources will be included. I humbly suggest that you include instruments, musical resources, and online materials, in addition to printed materials.
If I could offer one small criticism, it would be with regards to the Country of the Month. It is definitely fascinating to read about the practice of music therapy, and challenges that individuals and groups of music therapist are facing in their professional work. It is also comforting to know that we are not alone in those struggles, and that many of the challenges faced, have been previously faced by other colleagues. While I realize that you are dependant on individuals contributing an article, perhaps it would be more effective to schedule up to a year in advance, updates from various countries. In this way, you could make contact with professional organizations in various countries several months in advance of publication and hopefully ensure that a submission is made.
That's my two cents worth. Once again, congratulations and best wishes for the future of this excellent resource!
