Your Involvement is Important
By Krzysztof Stachyra
The first half of the year has passed and new events are coming. The 9th European Music Therapy Congress in Oslo will take place in August 2013, and the 14th World Congress in Vienna is closer and closer (July 2014). These are great events but we are sure that much more is happening in the music therapy world.
It would be great to know what is going on in your region, about well-known and lesser-known but interesting music therapists and healers whose works inspires you and shows you the power of music and music therapy. Interviewing people can be very efficient way to know and understand them better. We also will be happy to hear historical information about the development or transformation of music therapy in your part of the world.
We are preparing a new interview series called “Famous People", too. It is about a number of historically important music therapists whom many of us knew and worked with, but there is a risk that the next generation will not know.
Don’t be afraid that English is not your first language or that you have never done any interview. Just contact our Co-Editors and you will get the help you need.
Please let us know of anyone who you might be interested in interviewing or of other ideas for an interview by contacting one of us from the smiling team of the Interview Co-Editors: : Leslie Bunt, UK (Leslie.Bunt@uwe.ac.uk), Seung-A Kim, USA (skim@molloy.edu) or Krzysztof Stachyra, Poland (kris.stachyra@gmail.com).
